Job Description: Project Engineer

Reports To: Director of Engineering

Position Summary:

Project Engineers will be responsible for producing Bills of Materials (BOMs), customer approval drawings, shop fabrication drawings, and DXF files for assigned projects. They will use standard company templates and formats to create necessary documents for the fabrication of boiler components and pressure vessels. Additionally, Project Engineers will collaborate with various departments to ensure project success.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting customer technical specifications.
  • Review project summary sheets and related drawings for projects assigned to them from Manager or Lead Project Engineer.
  • Create Bills of Materials for tubing, castings, and other shop fabrication materials required as well as ship loose materials.
  • Prioritize project tasks based on fabrication schedules and material delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with shop supervisors, fellow engineers, and other departments to align with shop procedures and customer requirements.
