Oracle Performance Tuning DBA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable our client to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets.
• The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect, Design and implement Oracle DBs to protect the integrity of financial data to have 100% system availability.
• Refactor applications and migrate them from on premise data to AWS cloud.
• Monitor, Support and Analyze database performance issues and make changes to optimize performance to meet SLAs of critical Tier0/1 applications.
• Develop and review the best practices of Database code including functions, packages, procedures, and Materialized views.
• Modify, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries/packages to ensure consistent and reliable DB performance.
• Data modeling and review of existing and new schemas with Product and Development team(s).
• Support and scale high speed Enqueue/Dequeue of messages from Oracle AQs.
• Supporting applications in Data guard, RAC and GG microservices.
• Maintain security standards, Data Masking, Redaction and Fine-Grained Auditing.
• Support Disaster Recovery, on call rotation and escalations to meet SLAs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Experience with Oracle APEX, Grafana, OEM, Erwin and other Oracle tools
• Knowledge of database administration tasks and self-service tools
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and Jira
• Scripting Languages Shell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Awk and perl.
• Proven experience in Vblock, Exadata and Nutanix.
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL coding standards and best practices
• Experience with database internals, design and data modeling
• Ability to write efficiently and optimized PL/SQL code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
